Mezzo-soprano
Even as a child, Heather was fascinated by acting and singing. The young artist created her own musicals in the backyard of the family home, but over the years she became a professional musical performer, singing teacher, vocal coach, and theater coach. Before building a career in the New York City theater world, she began working as a professional actress at the age of 16. Since then, she has regularly performed on stage, appeared in television programs, and enjoys sharing her knowledge. Her acting, singing, and dancing skills, along with her stage experience, enable Heather to provide her students with in-depth vocal, musical, and dramatic knowledge in the styles of musical theater, pop, rock, and jazz.
Both her extensive Broadway musical theater repertoire and her love of art education are reflected in her teaching. The theater educator’s teaching method is based on the Meisner Technique. Her passion is to help her students free themselves from the limiting effects of self-criticism and self-judgment and find an emotional connection to the music or the material being performed in the moment, freeing their voices and creating space for improvisation. For her, there is no more beautiful feeling than being completely in the moment and immersing herself and the audience in another world.
